Physiotherapist
Tyler is a registered physiotherapist who graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (with distinction) in 2014. He then went on to complete his Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2016. He began his career in Regina and is returning to his hometown of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to continue to pursue his passion in the private practice setting.
Tyler embodies the Mackie Physiotherapy mentality of “One life. One body. One chance”. The unique aspect that drives Tyler’s practice is being able to shape a rehabilitation program specifically to the client’s goals and needs. It is important to discover what ignites the client’s passion in order to help shape, develop and collaborate as a team in creating the most effective plan and achieving the desired patient-centred results. Tyler’s interests lie in the orthopaedic manual therapy realm. Analyzing as well as assessing movement and dysfunction to provide hands-on treatment and help facilitate optimal movement patterns. He has been certified in Mulligan's Upper Quadrant Concept, K-taping and is planning on expanding his knowledge base relating to manual therapy and dry needling. Growing up in Saskatoon Tyler found himself driven by the love to compete. He has been extensively involved in a variety of sports including hockey, baseball, golf, bowling, lawn bowling, and curling. He is a former competitive curler who competed in the 2012 Tim Horton’s Brier, which was held in Saskatoon. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family, being active, watching and playing sports, and some light-hearted banter regarding fantasy football. |
