Dry Needling is the treatment where very fine stainless-steel needles are inserted and manipulated into trigger points in muscle and fascia. The "dry" component means that the needles have no bore in them and are unable to inject medicinal liquids. Diagnosis of the dysfunctional tissue requires a thorough physiotherapy examination. The treatment goal is to produce a neurophysiological effect that helps to reduce pain and inflammation, improve range of motion, tolerance to movement, normalize the nervous system, and optimize the body's performance. |
