Mel Nedjelski (formerly Doerksen) B.Sc. (Kin), M.P.T., B.D.N.
Physiotherapist
Melissa’s journey into the world of physiotherapy began with the desire to make a difference in people’s lives. Growing up in small town Saskatchewan, she witnessed the importance of compassion and care, which, combined with an innate interest in science and the human body, led her to pursue a career in physiotherapy. Melissa graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2016, followed by a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2019.
Sports and exercise have always been a big part of Melissa’s life - from playing a multitude of sports growing up to spending three years as a student trainer for the women’s varsity hockey team at the University of Saskatchewan. She believes in the power of physical activity to enhance both physical and mental well-being. Melissa is certified in Biomedical Dry Needling (BDN), Cervical/Thoracic Manipulation, and Rehabilitation Strategies for Patients with Cancer. Her passion is to provide individuals in cancer remission or undergoing cancer treatment with strategies and education, and to create client-centered programs to improve function and quality of life. With a focus on movement and biomechanical restoration through manual therapy and exercise, her goal is to provide manual therapy, education, and functional exercise prescriptions to help individuals get back to doing the activities that they love. Outside of the clinic Melissa enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her friends and family, and playing sports including golf, volleyball, and badminton. |
