Shae Sawatsky B.Sc. (Kin), M.P.T.
Physiotherapist
Shae was born and raised in Saskatoon and had the privilege of completing her schooling at the University of Saskatchewan. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Exercise & Sport Studies) with Honours and Great Distinction in 2020, and her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2022.
Shae has been passionate about the power of movement for a long time and her desire to help others led her to pursue a career in physiotherapy to enable people to be strong and capable in their own lives. Shae seeks to combine manual therapy with exercise prescription and education to help patients reach their goals and enjoy life to its fullest. Shae has enjoyed working with athletes during her time as a trainer with Huskie Athletics football, men’s soccer, and the Saskatoon Hilltops. Shae loves empowering people across their lifespan to dial into the next level of function and ability, whether that be through optimizing their biomechanics, reducing pain, or getting stronger in the gym. She has completed her NCCP Comp Intro training for the sport of Olympic weightlifting and has taken the Female Athlete course which allows her to work with individuals who have experienced pelvic floor symptoms and want to get back to feeling strong and capable. Shae also has experience as a competitive musician, which, combined with physiotherapy training, has created a unique ability to work with musicians through any repetitive strains or stressors they may be dealing with. In her free time, Shae participates in Olympic weightlifting, cycling, spends time with friends and family, plays piano, and tries to keep her numerous houseplants alive. |
