Shae was born and raised in Saskatoon and had the privilege of completing her schooling at the University of Saskatchewan. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Exercise & Sport Studies) with honours and great distinction in 2020, and her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2022.
Shae has been passionate about the power of movement for a long time, and her desire to help others led her to pursue a career in physiotherapy to enable people to be strong and capable in their own lives. With mentorship from Blaine and the rest of the Mackie team, Shae seeks to combine manual therapy with exercise prescription and education to help patients reach their goals and enjoy life to its fullest. Shae has enjoyed working with athletes during her time as a trainer with Huskie Athletics football, men’s soccer, and the Saskatoon Hilltops. Shae also loves empowering people across their lifespan to dial in to the next level of function and ability, whether that be through optimizing their biomechanics, reducing pain, or getting stronger in the gym. In her free time, Shae participates in Olympic weightlifting, cycling, spends time with friends and family, plays piano, and tries to keep her numerous houseplants alive. |

Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Pelvic floor physiotherapy involves the assessment and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. The pelvic floor consists of muscles, ligaments, and tissue, which together make up the floor of the pelvis or core. When muscles and other structures lose their normal control and do not function properly, this is called dysfunction. Pelvic floor rehabilitation works to strengthen and re-train the pelvic floor to help correct the problems associated with pelvic floor dysfunction. |
