Young Athletes Summer Strength & Conditioning Camp - NOW OPEN!
Starting July 12 (Wednesdays & Saturdays for 1.5 hrs per session)
This specifically designed camp is for our young athletes ages 13-18. Our goal is to teach excellent form in all lifting techniques so the athletes are confident and safe. The camp will also include strength conditioning for stamina. The athletic conditioning component will take place either in the gym or right behind the clinic on the full soccer pitch. The athletes will come away with a great experience in lifting techniques, and will be stronger and more fit by the end.

Meet the Team!
Each month we will profile a team member from Mackie Physiotherapy. This month, meet our massage therapist, Andrew!
Andrew is a recent graduate of the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy; he graduated this spring with an overall average of 91%. Andrew has consistently been involved in the field of sports therapy since his Grade 10 year in high school when he took a course in medical studies. This course included sports therapy, which involved learning muscular attachments and bony land marking, certifying in first aid & CPR, taping labs and biology labs (i.e. heart dissections), all of which inspired him to go into the field of massage therapy. Biology, physical education, recreational leadership, and sport medicine/medical studies were a few of Andrew's favourite topics growing up. In 2012, he was given the opportunity to work alongside professional EMTs in the Alberta Provincial First Aid Competition hosted by St. John's Ambulance. Andrew works to consistently apply all of these principles to his life, as he educates himself and others on the benefits of living a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle.
