Physiotherapist
Tyler is a registered physiotherapist who graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (with distinction) in 2014. He then went on to complete his Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2016. He began his career in Regina and then returned to his hometown of Saskatoon to continue to pursue his passion for physiotherapy in the private-practice setting.
Tyler embodies the Mackie Physiotherapy mentality of “One life. One body. One chance,” and is devoted to creating customized rehabilitation programs that meet the unique needs and goals of each individual client, thus helping to shape a wholesome and transformative wellness journey. He believes that it is important to discover what ignites the client’s passion in order to collaborate as a team in creating the most effective plan to achieve the desired patient-centred results. Tyler’s interests lie in the orthopaedic manual therapy realm: analyzing, assessing, and working towards restoring movement and function through hands-on manual treatment. He has been certified in biomedical dry needling, Mulligan's Upper Quadrant Concept, K-taping, TPI (Titleist performance institute) and strives to refine his skills through being a lifelong learner. Growing up in Saskatoon Tyler found himself driven by the love to compete. He has been extensively involved in a variety of sports including hockey, golf, bowling, and curling. He is a former competitive curler who competed in the 2012 Tim Horton’s Brier, which was held in Saskatoon. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, being active, and some light-hearted banter regarding fantasy football. |
