March 5, 2019 - Ready for Golf?

Picture
Golf is one of the most common recreational summer activities that people do.
Mobility and strength are critical to ensure pain free and quality performance when it comes to golf. Physical therapy assessment and treatment programs can be one of the best things you have ever done for your golf game. Similar to almost any other sport, a pre-season training program should be done in preparation for the upcoming golf season to ensure you are ready to perform when you tee it up on the 1st hole.

Is your golf game at its full potential? Are you looking to improve your golf game
before you even hit the course this year? Are injuries holding you back from playing the game you love? Come to our “Ready to Golf?” workshop to learn about how our golf-specific biomechanical assessment can be utilized to improve your game and prepare you for the best season of golf possible.

by Adrian Cochet BSc (Kin), MPT
Where: Mackie Physiotherapy Gym
When: Tuesday, March 5
Time: 7:00-8:00 PM

Workshop Details
At the workshop we will discuss how a physical therapy assessment can point to common mobility issues or weaknesses that are holding you back as a golfer, or that could lead to issues during the season. We will go over what a targeted golf-specific pre-season training program should look like, and teach you how to optimize your body’s movement for a better golf swing before you even hit the course.

We will discuss:
  1. Common injuries affecting your game
  2. Individualized and targeted physio programs for golf.
  3. Golf specific in-season conditioning
  4. Mobility restoration for golf.
  5. Strength and power development for golf.
