Summer in Saskatchewan is a treasured time of year as many of our patients fill their schedules with weekends at the beach, trips to the mountains or time away for a summer wedding. We want to make sure you continue to prioritize your health and fitness this Summer by launching our Mackie Open Gym program!

The Mackie Open Gym program will operate as a flexible and convenient way for you to stay accountable to your fitness goals over the Summer months of July & August. This program is led by Kessa Scriver, ISSA Personal Trainer & Certified Holistic Nutritionist, who will be in charge of daily workout programming, gym supervision, form correction, exercise modifications as well as overall exercise safety (and fun!!!)
The programmed workouts included during Mackie Open Gym will continue to follow Mackie Physiotherapy’s philosophy of building true strength. Kessa will program daily workouts designed to help you develop functional strength in your squat, bench press and deadlift. Each workout will include accessory movements, core strengthening movements and conditioning exercises. This program works according to YOUR schedule- show up to the gym during the allotted days & times that work best for YOU!

The Open Gym times are as follows:
TUESDAYS: 5:00pm-8:00pm
WEDNESDAYS: 4:30pm-7:30pm (month of August will switch to 5:00pm-8:00pm)
THURSDAYS: 5:00pm-8:00pm

The Mackie Open Gym program will run for the months of July & August, with the return of our structured Mackie Strong Strength Camps starting up in the Fall. 

If you are looking to stay accountable to your health and fitness this summer, our new Mackie Open Gym program is the most flexible and accommodating way to do so! Simply show up to the gym at any time that is most convenient for you, Kessa will give you a run-down of the daily workout and assist you throughout your session as needed. No more running late, missing classes or making excuses- this program moulds and shapes to YOUR schedule!

Mackie Open Gym Program Details:
  • DURATION OF PROGRAM: July 5th, 2022 - September 1st, 2022
  • TUESDAYS: 5:00pm-8:00pm (Squats & Lower-body Accessory Movements)
  • WEDNESDAYS: 4:30pm-7:30pm* (Bench Press & Upper-body Accessory Movements)
  • THURSDAYS: 5:00pm-8:00pm (Deadlifts & Posterior Chain Accessory Movements)

*For the month of August, Wednesdays will switch to 5:00pm-8:00pm

For the first time ever, we are welcoming Class Drop-In participants! If you are unsure of committing to the whole Summer or if you have never participated in a Mackie Strength Camp before, take advantage of our first ever class drop-in option! This is an amazing way for you to experience the atmosphere at Mackie Physiotherapy, while gaining a sense of our True Strength philosophy and getting to meet your program instructor, Kessa! Class drop-ins are also a great way to try out a Mackie Strong Strength Class before we start enrolling a new class in the Fall.
