Thomas is a physiotherapist, competitive powerlifter, and strength coach with a strong interest in helping people build strength for both performance and long-term health. He combines clinical knowledge with practical training experience to guide individuals safely through resistance training. Whether you’re new to lifting or looking to build a solid foundation, Thomas provides clear coaching, individualized progressions, and a supportive environment to help you succeed.

If you’re looking to feel stronger, move better, and stay active long-term, Mackie: Built to Last is for you. This class is designed for individuals who are new to strength training or those with a solid foundation, all in a safe, supportive environment.

Led by a physiotherapist, this class focuses on teaching simple, effective resistance training exercises that translate directly to everyday life. You’ll learn foundational movement patterns like squatting, hinging, pushing, and pulling; all of which play a key role in maintaining strength, mobility, and confidence in your day-to-day activities.

Strength training doesn’t have to be intimidating or complicated. In this class, we break movements down into manageable steps, tailor exercises to your current ability, and gradually build you up over time. Whether your goal is to feel more comfortable with exercise, improve your balance and coordination, or get back to activities you enjoy, this class meets you where you’re at.

Using safe, progressive resistance training, we focus on building strength and muscle in a way that supports better movement, reduces injury risk, and increases your overall capacity. Over time, this helps make everyday tasks like carrying groceries, getting up from a chair, or staying active with activities like pickleball feel easier and more manageable.
