Physiotherapist
Danielle Drury, BSc. (Kin), MPT
Danielle is the newest member of the Mackie Physiotherapy team in Evergreen! She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2019 with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology (Exercise & Sport Studies) with great distinction. Upon graduation, she promptly began her Masters in Physical Therapy, graduating in 2021. Danielle grew up involved in many sports, but racquetball and hockey were her passion. Danielle was a member of the Canadian Racquetball team throughout her junior and senior career, competing internationally at the Junior World Championships and the Pan American Championship. In 2019, after a Pan American bronze medal in Women's doubles, and a bronze medal in singles and gold medal in doubles at the Canadian National Championships, Danielle set aside her racquet to focus on her Masters in Physical Therapy. Since completing her Masters, Danielle is back on the court, training to make the national team once again. With her involvement in sport growing up, personal injuries led her to seek the help of physical therapists for rehabilitation. After her experiences as a patient, she knew that physical therapy was the career for her! Danielle’s goal is to deliver highest quality patient-centered care, working with patients to create a treatment plan that is unique and specific to them. Her treatment approach is to help restore biomechanical function and muscle imbalances through manual therapy and exercise. Danielle enjoys working with people at all stages of life, helping them to achieve their goals. Danielle has a keen interest in manual therapy, and is looking forward to enhancing her skills under the mentorship of Blaine Mackie and the terrific Mackie Physiotherapy team. Outside of work, Danielle finds herself spending time at the dog park with her pup and fiancé, training for racquetball, taking care of houseplants, and wishing she was on a beach somewhere. Danielle is in clinic from 8am-6pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays. She would love to see you to help get you feeling your best, so you can do all of the things you love! |
